Having worked as a sports anchor and commentator with Cape Talk for six years, anchored etv's Champions League football coverage, and worked as an MC across Southern Africa, Dan has extensive experience behind the microphone. Dan started out with UCT Radio, and spent several years as the stadium announcer at Newlands, before joining Cape Talk, and adding 'Official Voice of Ajax Cape Town' to his resume.
Since then, it's been a blur of MC assignments. Dan has hosted Vodacom Beach Africa in Durban, the Vodacom Origins of Golf series, the Absa Cape Epic, and numerous black tie dinners, charity auctions and product and event launches, as well as over 100 golf days in the last three years.
"I grew up in Zimbabwe, so hosting the FINA Swimming World Cup in Durban and the South African Swimming Awards meant both events had a host who couldn't actually swim! Hanging out with Samuel L Jackson at the Nelson Mandela Invitational was awesome – I'm sure Sam remembers it clearly… I've also had some unforgettable moments hosting events with inspirational South Africans like Gary Player, Lucas Radebe and Francois Pienaar. The thing with being an MC is that nobody knows what you're actually supposed to be saying, which makes it that much easier to get away with an awful lot!"

My RecentHow do I describe Dan Nicholl? Professional, smart, funny and quick on his feet. During the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa Dan hosted 22 events spanning four weeks touching over 3 000 guests. He inspired them, he made them laugh, and he connected them to our brand in creative and thoughtful ways. Dan is a person you would always have confidence in living your brand.
